Naturopathy is an approach to natural healing that uses many different modalities. The goal of natural therapies is to restore health by stimulating the body’s ability to heal itself.  Homeopathic remedies, tissue salts, herbs, essential oils, and various other natural remedies to support the immune system, to stimulate the body’s detoxifying action, to strengthen resistance to disease may be used

Homeopathy uses plants, mineral and animal substances made into solutions. The homeopathic medicine is used to uproot or correct the illness, not just treat the condition.  Homeopathic medicine doesn’t treat symptoms. It uses them as informational aspects of the case. The patient's signs, symptoms, appearance, medical history and personality are all taken into account before prescribing. The diagnostic label, for example "rheumatoid arthritis" or "asthma," does not dictate the homeopathic remedy used. There may be 50 or more possible remedies for one disease entity. Rather, it's the way in which the patient expresses the disease that tells the prescriber what to do. This is very different from orthodox medicine where everyone with the same diagnosis tends to get the same medicine.

Tao Shiatsu Therapy

Tao Shiatsu is a form of therapeutic bodywork developed by Japanese Master Ryokyu Endo. This therapy supports and strengthens the body's natural ability to heal and balance itself.  It works on the physical body, as well as on a level that benefits psychological, emotional and spiritual well-being.  The practitioner uses touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body's physical structure and balance its energy flow. Shiatsu can be used in the treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal, internal, and emotional conditions.  Tao Shiatsu is therapeutic, but at the same time this is a deeply relaxing treatment. It stimulates the body to regain its' natural equilibrium. Tao shiatsu treats the whole person, concentrating not only on the symptoms.  Performed on a floor mattress, dressed.

Body-Mind Acupressure

Acupressure is a type of non-invasive, ‘hands-on’ therapy that attempts to bring about balance of energy flow, blood flow, lymphatic, hormonal, and nerve conduction. This treatment involves stimulating the vital-energy points along the meridians on our body to effect maximum energy flow.  Soft touch, light pressure on these points helps to clear a blocked energy flow and re-establish harmony and wellbeing.  It might help to relieve stress and tension, relax mind and body, increase energy levels, increase overall feeling of well-being.  It can benefit migraines and chronic headaches, insomnia, fatigue, digestive difficulties and nausea, sinus problems, joint problems, arthritis, anxiety and nervousness, depression, irritability and anger, grief and sadness …

Performed on a table, dressed or as a part of massage therapy.

Neuro-muscular (Trigger Point) Therapy

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a very specialized form of manual therapy. A therapist trained in NMT is educated in the physiology of the nervous system and its effect on the muscular and skeletal systems.

Neuromuscular Therapy is the utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to balance the central nervous system.

This modality creates greatest results for issues like frozen shoulder and stiff neck. It is very specific and takes longer to do, but it creates long-lasting results.

CranioSacral Therapy

The CranioSacral system consists of the Membranes (or Meninges) which surround the brain; the Cranial bones and Sacrum which attach to these membranes; the Fascia which radiates out from the membranes to all parts of the body, enveloping every nerve and nerve pathway, and the Cerebro-Spinal Fluid - a vital and potent fluid produced from within the central nervous system along the neurological pathways to every structure of the body. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.  Using a soft touch practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.  Treatment is generally soothing and pleasant, creating a sense of ease, calm and relaxation.

Reiki literally means “universal life energy.” Rediscovered in the mid-1800s, Reiki is a gentle yet powerful healing technique that uses this life energy—also known as “Ki” in Japanese, “Chi” in Chinese, and as “Prana” in the Hindu religion—to help promote balance and healing. Reiki can work on all levels of being, whether the physical body, your mental state, your energetic body, or all of these at once. Reiki will help bring you into harmony and balance. It can reduce or eliminate pain and stress, it accelerates the healing process, relaxes and balances the energetic chakras of the person.

In a Reiki session, you lie down dressed on a massage table while the specialist places their open palms gently against or slightly above the your body, facilitating the flow of Qi. The body will then naturally draw in additional life energy until their body finds a suitable equilibrium.

During the treatment, you will experience absolute peace and serenity, leaving each session feeling glowing and radiant. While the technique is simple, the results are amazing. The practice of the healing art of Reiki continues to grow in popularity and acceptance at hospitals and wellness centres. Reiki’s claim of positive, healing powers are supported by numerous scientific research studies.
